About the role
The Project Assistants support the implementation of project activities under the guidance of the Project Officer, contributing to sustainable spiritual nurture of children and households and helping create an environment in which children thrive.
Key responsibilities
- Support hands‑on faith and development activities at household and church level, including trainings, eco‑theology sessions and Savings for Transformation groups.
- Facilitate spiritual nurture interventions for children, such as trainings for ministry leaders, logistics for Bible clubs, and record‑keeping of participation.
- Collect, input and report monitoring data, track progress against Detailed Implementation Plans, and provide gender‑disaggregated evidence for MEAL purposes.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, attend district‑level meetings, and maintain positive relationships between churches, community structures and partners.
- Provide local logistical and administrative support, manage project documentation and ensure timely distribution of resources.
Required profile
- Diploma in Theology, Education, Development Studies, Social Work or related field; Bachelor’s degree is an advantage.
- 1‑2 years of experience in community development, church mobilisation or faith‑based programming.
- Fluency in Sesotho and working knowledge of English (written and oral).
- Committed Christian able to work across denominational differences.
Required skills
- Basic MS Office proficiency.
- Familiarity with digital data‑collection tools.
