About the role
Catholic Relief Services is seeking a Grants and Compliance Manager (Level I) to lead grant implementation for a multi‑country child development, care, and protection project in Lesotho. The role ensures compliant execution of donor‑funded activities, oversees financial management, sub‑award agreements and reporting, and supports the project’s global and country teams.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for grant financial management and compliance, coordinating with program staff, sub‑awardees, CRS HQ Finance and country finance teams.
- Support project start‑up, mid‑term and close‑out meetings to ensure understanding of finance‑related donor requirements.
- Develop, review and approve Fixed Amount Award agreements and amendments, ensuring adherence to CRS and donor policies.
- Assess partner financial capacity, address capacity gaps, and create action plans for compliance with donor requirements.
- Monitor and enforce safeguarding policy compliance, conduct required assessments, and maintain reporting tracking systems for sub‑awardees.
- Review sub‑awardee progress reports, compare milestones to spending, analyze impediments, and recommend reimbursements or resolve questioned costs.
- Prepare financial reports in CRS systems for reconciliation and budget monitoring.
- Co‑develop progress reports linking milestone achievement to spending for donor reporting.
