IT Support Technician

About the role

Network IT is looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to join its team in Lesotho. You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting advanced information systems used in the production of secure identity documents such as passports and ID cards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and support specialized hardware and software systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair advanced printers and related equipment used in secure document production.
• Monitor system performance and proactively resolve technical issues to ensure high availability.
• Provide hands‑on technical support, guidance, and user training to local teams and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with central IT teams to deploy software updates, security patches, and system enhancements.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, including system configurations, incident reports, and resolution logs.
• Ensure compliance with security protocols and operational standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT support, technical assistance, or a related role.
• Strong hardware troubleshooting skills, including PCs, servers, and peripheral devices.
• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing printers; experience with specialized or industrial printers is a plus.
• Proficiency in software installation, configuration, and operating‑system support for Windows and/or Linux.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, VPNs, firewalls, and system security.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a remote or decentralized environment.
• Fluent English communication skills and willingness to relocate to Lesotho.
