District Coordinator – Childcare & Early Childhood Development

About the role

The District Coordinator – Childcare and Early Childhood Development leads the coordination of childcare and early childhood development activities at the district level, ensuring alignment with CRS standards, donor requirements and local partner capacities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate implementation of childcare and ECD project activities in line with workplans, CRS program quality standards, and donor requirements.
• Liaise with district ministries, community structures and implementing partners to promote integrated service delivery and sustainability.
• Participate in joint planning with District Child Protection teams, share progress, identify bottlenecks and facilitate coordinated interventions.
• Collect, verify and report field‑level data in partnership with the MEAL team, conduct routine monitoring of daycare centres and perform data quality checks.
• Document implementation progress, supervision findings and lessons learned, contributing to reports, learning briefs and adaptive management processes.
• Facilitate caregiver training, parenting activities and provide technical guidance to partners, ensuring compliance with CRS standards.

Required profile

• Experience coordinating development projects, preferably in childcare or early childhood development.
• Proven ability to work with government ministries, NGOs, faith‑based and community organisations.
• Strong analytical mindset for data collection, verification and reporting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
