Health Technical Specialist – Faith & Community Initiative

About the role

The Health Technical Specialist will provide in‑country technical direction for World Vision's Faith and Community Initiative (FCI), ensuring the programme aligns with global strategy, national policies and Ministry of Health guidelines. Working closely with the Chief of Party and government partners, the specialist will adapt the hub‑and‑spoke model to local contexts and drive quality health service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the global technical strategy, standards, tools and integrated service package at the country level.
• Lead design and execution of interventions across HIV, TB, malaria, maternal & child health, nutrition and health‑systems strengthening.
• Ensure high‑quality service delivery in government, community health agent and faith‑based facilities, strengthening referral and continuity of care.
• Monitor compliance with technical standards, develop quality‑improvement plans and incorporate safeguarding standards.
• Represent FCI in national and sub‑national technical forums and coordinate with ministries and partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in public‑health programme implementation and technical leadership.
• Strong knowledge of national health policies and Ministry of Health guidelines.
• Experience working with integrated service‑delivery models and multi‑sectoral health interventions.
• Ability to collaborate with government, NGOs and faith‑based organisations.

Required skills

• Technical expertise in HIV, TB, malaria, maternal & child health, nutrition, and health‑systems strengthening.
• Familiarity with safeguarding standards and quality‑improvement methodologies.
