Senior Project Officer – Field

About the role

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is launching a multi‑county child development, care, and protection project. The Senior Project Officer will lead field implementation, working closely with government counterparts, local partners, community structures, and faith‑based networks to strengthen child protection systems and early childhood development services.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and lead all assigned project activities in line with CRS quality standards, donor requirements, and best practices.
• Ensure learning and accountability by coordinating evaluation activities and guiding partners to reflect on project experiences.
• Analyze implementation challenges, report gaps, and recommend adjustments to plans and schedules.
• Coordinate and oversee relationships with local stakeholders, acting as the liaison between them and the project team.
• Conduct ad‑hoc inspections at project sites to verify timely implementation and compliance with process standards.
• Track resource use through periodic budget and milestone reviews, supporting implementing partners as needed.
• Provide capacity‑building and technical support to ensure activities meet project guidelines.
• Manage logistical and administrative support for staff and partners.
• Maintain complete project documentation and assist with trend analysis reports and case‑study documentation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in project implementation and coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government agencies, local NGOs, and faith‑based networks.
• Knowledge of child protection systems, early childhood development, and family‑based care approaches.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills to identify implementation challenges and propose adjustments.
